    The Greater Brighton Fire Protection District is always looking for men and women who are interested becoming members of the organization.  This page is designed to help our future family members gain information on our hiring process as well as current openings.  The Greater Brighton Fire Protection District only hires its Career Firefighters from its volunteer ranks.

 The District accepts applications for the Volunteer Program year around

Volunteer Firefighters - The Fire District accepts applications for volunteer firefighters from the beginning of the calendar year until December 31st.  When an applicant applies for a volunteer position within the calendar year, their application will be process for the following years Academy (i.e. if you applied in 2006, you will be part of the 2007 application process).  Greater Brighton Fire requires all of its volunteers to ride a minimum of 36 hours per month and attend a minimum of 60 hours of training each year.  The Fire District will train new applicants to the State of Colorado Firefighter level I, State of Colorado Hazardous Materials - Operational level and 1st Responder.  Applications are available at our Headquarters Station, or you may use this website for the application.
