The Greater Brighton Fire Protection District provides emergency medical care for our taxpayers at the Emergency Medical Technician Basic (EMT-B) level.  When someone calls 911 because they are sick or involved in an accident the Fire District responds with a minimum of one Fire Truck.  All of our firefighters ext.2.JPG (577708 bytes)are trained in providing pre-hospital care.  All five of our front-line apparatus are equipped with basic life support equipment and an "AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)".  Approximately 80% of our call volume is medical.

The Fire Districts uses "Platte Valley Ambulance" to provide paramedic care and transport to the Hospital.  Greater Brighton Fire and Platte Valley Ambulance train together on a monthly basis.  Most of our patients are transported to the local hospital, "Platte Valley Medical Center".

The Fire District also provides "CPR Classes" to anyone who might need to re-certify and who wants to learn how to perform this life-saving skill.  We also have trained and certified "Car-Seat Technicians" on duty and available to check and help install car seats.
